Thijs Dallinga on his way to Cologne?
Cologne are working on a deal to sign Thijs Dallinga on loan with a buy option. The Dutch striker wants to start anew after two difficult years in Italy. Within the Cologne sports leadership, there is now consensus to sign a second experienced striker, in addition to Ragnar Ache, instead of just a classic backup. According to Sky Italia, Bologna and Cologne have already reached an agreement in principle on a loan with a buy option, Bologna is already working on Roberto Piccoli from Florence as a replacement, while Mateo Pellegrino is set to join Florence. The deal is not yet complete: only when all parties have clarified the last points can Dallinga join Cologne.
Why it matters for Cologne
Cologne must perform well in the new season after a strong performance in the previous season. A success in the transfer period could strengthen the team for the new season.
What comes next?
Cologne must now wait and see if the talks with Bologna are successful. If the deal is completed, Dallinga can join Cologne. Cologne has its next game on 06.02.2027 against Werder Bremen (away). Sebastian Sebulonsen is currently injured.
