FC Köln signs 18-year-old defender Lionel Voufack from RB Leipzig. He will play for the U-21 team. Voufack hails from Leipzig and completed his football education at the Saxony-based club's academy. He will play for the U-21 team to get more playing time. In contrast, Frederik Jäkel, another talent from RB Leipzig's youth academy, will join Eintracht Braunschweig permanently this summer. The midfielder spent the 2025-26 season on loan with the German second-division club and has now returned on a permanent basis. From 2013 to 2020, Jäkel progressed through all age groups in RB Leipzig's youth academy before playing on loan for KV Oostende. Alongside the Belgian side, he represented Arminia Bielefeld, SV Elversberg, and Eintracht Braunschweig, playing 45 games in total.
