FC Köln loses another talent: Bernie Lennemann joins Hansa Rostock. The striker was active for the U21 in the past season and scored two goals. Lennemann was not considered for the first team and played neither under Lukas Kwasniok nor under René Wagner. In the U21, the striker scored two more goals in the second half of the season, created three assists and played a total of 22 matches with six goals and four assists in the Regionalliga West. It was apparently not enough to recommend him for more. Because the Kölner did not extend the contract. Lennemann was officially released by the U21 in the last league game. Rumors of a transfer to Hansa Rostock had been circulating for a long time. This has now been confirmed. "Bernie is a striker who will give our game additional possibilities. He brings a lot of tempo, dynamics and enormous explosiveness. Especially his runs deep and behind the opponent's defense make him hard to defend", says Amir Shapourzadeh, Director of Professional Football. Now the attacking player is looking for his luck in the 3rd league. "The talks with the responsible people have given me a very good feeling from the start. Hansa is a club with a special tradition, passionate fans and a great aura. I'm looking forward to getting to know the team, playing at the Ostseestadion and contributing my part to our team's success. I can hardly wait to get started", says Lennemann. The FC has already released a dozen U21 players. Including the supposed king transfer Sargis Adamyan, Mikail Özkan and Arda Süne.
